I dismissed a case, why do I still have an invoice?
Last Updated -
Very frequently, a property will need to dismiss a case; whether it be that the balance was paid in full, an agreement was reached, etc. There are instances where a property dismisses a case and they still receive an invoice for it. Why? Once a case as been moved to 'In Process' by your attorney or service provider, an invoice is generated. If you file and dismiss a case before the attorney or service provider has accepted the case and moved it In Process, then you will not receive an invoice. This standard practice is implemented because our clients expect and deserve the best and most expedient service possible, therefore, we begin working on your cases as quickly as possible, and generate invoices accordingly.
