How to Dismiss a Case

If at any point you are no longer pursuing a case, you must log in and click on Dismiss. This will indicate to your service provider that you are no longer pursuing the case, and it will also keep an accurate record in your account.
We require at least a 24 hour notice to ensure dismissals are filed before the hearing. If a case is dismissed with less than a 24 hour notice, you will need to attend the hearing to ensure the case is dismissed. If you do not attend, we cannot guarantee that the case will be dismissed before the hearing.
1. Click on 'Dismiss' to the far right of the case you would like to dismiss
2. Enter the reason and description of the dismissal
3. The case will appear in the bottom of the section of your case status page, log a date for the dismissal, and show you who dismissed the case and why
